Your Favorite Anime Vehicles

Ah, the Toyota 86, known in the US as either the Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ, but they're all the same car. That NB story though is funny. I want to get an NA (with the 1.8L) or the NB (just not the NC) and put a hardtop on it and strip it down for AutoX and beginner drifting leagues (no stereo, no a/c) and redo the suspension. But still, the MX-5 still pales in comparison to my dream car.

Nope. I find the GT-R, though awesome, awfully heavy and very cliche. All my Asian friends want a GT-R. No, me, I'm unique. My dream car is the 2001 Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero S15, a car renowned for is unbelievable balance and has one of Nissan's better engines (the SR20DET). As a very close second, I'd get the Nissan Silvia K's S14 Kouki (facelifted) as well. Neither cars are legal to own in the US, sadly, so I'll have to settle for something else.

Whoah, that is one rare dream car you want there... Even in Japan it's a rarity since idiot drivers think they're Takumi & time attacks some narrow twisty road... I agree, the iconic SR20DET is way ahead of it's time when it came out ^_-!

Yeah, in Japan they're rare...but in Australia and UK on the other hand... BAH! I think I'll just stick with an MX-5...or maybe an S2000 AP2 with an RX-7 steering rack in it.

Yeah, I've seen it, and not fond of it. I don't like many of the newer cars. They become so idiot-proof that you can't do anything to them or with them, not to mention the move to drive-by-wire systems. Kinda hard to beat an assisted mechanical system to maintain feel of the road. Although, one thing I am excited for, are full-electric sports cars. I just wish there was a design that ran on a manual transmission. Running through corners without heel-toeing just doesn't feel right to me. Anyways, I feel as though it's getting a little off-topic. Favorite anime vehicles, yo, GO!

An Abarth crossed my mind to be honest. A lot of the classic anime had it when I was young, one in particular is Lupin the 3rd. The price tag is really close to the more agile FR-s though...

Yeah, between the Abarth and the 86, I'd rather go with the 86. But I'm not a huge fan of the 86 either, mainly because for me, it just stands out too much. I love the understated and less exotic looks of cars like the MX-5, AE86 models, RX-7, EVO VIII and WRX STi's because they can blend into a crowd of everyday commuter cars, some more than others. I'd love to one day show up at a track or AutoX comp and people look at my car and say "Look at that piece of crap" then out of nowhere just start setting crazy lap times like no one's business.
