weight loss is 80% diet an 20% actual working out you cant out work a bad diet

I can't say I agree with anything of the "fat acceptance" movement. Its trying to say that its so unsafe to lose weight that people who are fat should just give up. I used to be 240lbs with a BMI of 35.4 and a fat percentage of nearly 30%. Since I started doing more aerobics, going back to school and eating mostly meals I cook myself, I've been losing weight and feeling a million times better. I'm now down to 210, and you can't easily tell I'm overweight anymore. My fat percentage is down to 26%, and I'm working to get closer to the thin ideal I want. Its not impossible at all, but I don't delude myself into thinking I'm a 10/10 when I'm more of a 7/10 due primarily to being overweight. This fall, I plan to drop to 180 or lower, and get myself into a position where I can control my cravings ( I loved sweets when I was younger, so that's why I'm like this ) Its not hard, just takes effort and work. Again I'm not shallow for refusing to date overweight and obese women, its because if they're not motivated or committed enough to eating right, losing weight and balancing their lives with physical activity, how can I expect the relationship to be a balanced and healthy one?

One of my best friends was fat, she worked her ass off and now she is still plus sized but she lost a lot of weight and she looks awesome that way. I think it is acceptable when one seek for health and fitness for oneself but as said before it is true some obese people do not try enough. They want some fit guy or healthy girl like me and many others when they can't even do something for themselves. That is indeed selfish and not attractive at all. If you want something work for it. This is something I agree because is not fair I also worked a lot to be in shape. Still nobody is telling you who to choose and there are plenty of options however I can say that nothing in this world comes without a price. Like I said before, is up to you.

I never said fat people should give up on losing weight. I said people need to realize they need to lose weight before they can actually lose any. I'm fat too and I work out and eat right. Also, I am not saying anyone is shallow for not dating a certain type of person. Instead, I am saying like all people, some fat people do try to lose weight, others don't, just like some people do this, others don't.

I just saw the hottest, sexiest woman I have seen in the media in a while on the news, she is a size 16. Its on the news because shes in an ad in this years SI swimsuit issue. She addresses body image issues. https://www.yahoo.com/style/plus-size-model-ashley-grahams-ad-will-appear-in-110078052408.html Check out her photo page, doing good work. You should always try to keep yourself active and fit. That does not mean become a sports model. Everyone is built a little differently and are were not all built to be super thin. Some people genetically come from heartier stock and don't have the same healthy ideal weight range as another. My roommate hated me because I could eat most a large pizza and crap in college being lazy and not gain weight. He went on a health kick; quit smoking, drinking soda, ate very lean and healthy foods in modest portions, exercised on his doctors plan, etc. and never got below 290 for 2 years before giving up for a while. One of my co-workers says he won't date a girl that is below 175. Everyone is the right type for someone.

I like girls in all shapes and sizes but I do Indeed like curvy girls. To be honest, I'd be with any girl who'd have me in a New York minute.

@MisakiNagase. Thanks. That was completely unexpected in this form. But I suggest to also talk to nekomimi.

I think everyone should seek healthy ways to better themselves via mentally and physically. Especially if you grew up in America where we are surrounded by high bad fats ,calories, processed death, cholesterol foods and HEALTHY FOODS being EXPENSIVE. It's ridiculous but it looks like body image and health/wellness is so flawed here we need to seek the answers out for ourselves. :( Basically america's saying ,"You're on your own" after having a bad start. It's horrible Btw I did karate my entire life and now that I'm not really in it I usually bike to locations/walk but also gym when I want to (bad I should gym more not when I want! xD) for an hour. :) and changed my diet after mmmm.... Like 16/17 yrs old. Just wanted to say >_<""
