My grandparents were from southern Sweden. My dad told me the exact towns once but I honestly don't remember anymore. ^^; I live in the Chicago area now.
Actually I can't say that I've watched many Swedish movies/shows, though I've also been thinking I should try to watch some just for practice listening. The only one I've seen recently was Män Som Hatar Kvinnor, the original Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I do listen to a little Swedish music though.
I'm curious, what originally made you interested in Swedish? o:
