Nice to meet you Sinh. ;) My grandparents were from southern Sweden. My dad told me the exact towns once but I honestly don't remember anymore. ^^; I live in the Chicago area now. Actually I can't say that I've watched many Swedish movies/shows, though I've also been thinking I should try to watch some just for practice listening. The only one I've seen recently was Män Som Hatar Kvinnor, the original Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I do listen to a little Swedish music though. I'm curious, what originally made you interested in Swedish? o:

Jag är bra tack. Och du? You can just call me Ben. :) I understand, I'm in a similar position. I can read and write okay but I can hardly speak or understand spoken Swedish at all since it's hard to practice that on my own. At least when you're there you'll have the advantage that Swedes are really good at English (although that also makes it harder if you want to practice your Swedish). My dad's side of my family is from Sweden, but I've never actually been there. I really want to go someday though!
