Kusanagi Kei, a high-school student living with his aunt and uncle, has an encounter with a female alien. This alien is revealed to be a new teacher at his school.

Abandoned by his mother and grown up in different orphanages, the only thing Kamishiro Maiku has left from his early childhood is a photograph showing the house he was living in and himself and a girl playing in a children's pool. When Maiku recognizes that same house in a TV report about an UFO sighting, he decides to travel to that peaceful town, search for the his childhood memories and start living by himself, in that house he's so far only seen in the photograph.

Love Hina follows the story of Keitaro Urashima, a young boy determined to study at Tokyo University and fulfill the promise he made to a childhood friend he barely remembers. Unfortunately, his parents can no longer support him, and now he has to manage his grandmother’s all-girls dormitory while cramming for his college exams.

The series centers on the life of Hideki Motosuwa, a held-back student attempting to qualify for university by studying at Seki prep school in Tokyo. Besides a girlfriend, he dreams of having a persocom : an android used as a personal computer, which is expensive.

In Japan, it is known as Psalms of the Planet: Eureka Seven, and is stylized simply as Eureka Seven internationally.

The story is a shonen comedy that takes place in the Kanagawa Prefecture, and centers on Keitaro Urashima and his attempts to fulfill a childhood promise that he made with a girl to enter Tokyo University together. However, he has forgotten the name of the girl he made the promise to and hopes to be accepted into Tokyo University in order to find her.
