The story begins with Yggdrasil, a popular online game which is quietly shut down one day; however, the protagonist Momonga decides to not log out. Momonga is then transformed into the image of a skeleton as "the most powerful wizard.

Set in the near future, year 2150, Japan. 50 years after the official end of World War III, battles still persist in the war-torn country, and have produced completely unexpected results.

In the future, Japan is a wasteland. In the Great Kanto Desert, scattered humans eke out a living in the hot sand.

The series was directed by Kyoda Tomoki and is produced by Studio Bones, known for the production of many hits such as Wolf’s Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mob Psycho 100, and Boku no Hero Academia. In Japan, it is known as Psalms of the Planet: Eureka Seven, and is stylized simply as Eureka Seven internationally.

Based on the popular hack and slash video game by Capcom, Devil May Cry: The Animated Series is an anime series which aired on June 14, 2007 in Japan. Devil May Cry is a franchise which is roughly based on Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, an epic poem from Italy.

Yoshitaka Nakabayashi, a 14-year-old millionaire who got this huge inheritance after his parents died in an accident, found himself needed to be taken care of and tried to hire live-in maids to do the job. Two runaway girls, Izumi Sawatari and her younger sister Mitsuki, stumped into Nakabayashi's mansion and got hired by Yoshitaka immediately, for Yoshitaka is not only a rich boy but also a pervert with uniform fetishes, who wants to be addressed as goshujin-sama (master).

The story picks up after what happened in season one. Things that are left unexplained in the first season get explained in the new season in three separate arcs.
