I finally figured out why I am so picky and single!

Ok so I figured out why I friendzone a vast majority of the people I meet and why I am friendzoned so mutually as well! A long time friend of mine noticed this and told me that it might apply to what I like in friends is the same as girls. First of all girls generally ( not all ) want to feel like their partner will be there for them no matter what. I have the philosophy of "if you don't help yourself do not expect help" but if I do help I literally go to any length to help a friend. ( And possibly a significant other ) Well she guessed that how I treat friends is what I look for in a girl, basically an independent girl. ( Which is hard to find in my area ) I don't even mean financially independent or even moved out of their parents. what I mean is that they have to actually try and solve their problems. ( a surprisingly low number of people actually do this. ) I will sit and listen to your problems just try and actually solve them and don't sweep them under the rug or ignore them. Most girls I meet give me the vibes that they depend on others before they even help themselves. That is a total turn off. When I try to give them advice on how they can solve their problem themselves instead of avoiding it then I imagine that is the point where they lose all interest in me. Many want a super hero to come to the rescue and I only do that when you actually put some effort in yourself. Other guys will act like a damn hero until they get comfortable in a relationship. XD Likes: People who will try and solve their own problems, if i see they are trying I will go to all the way to the ends of the earth and back to help them. Dislikes: Most people. You can be financially independent and moved out, I don't care. If you won't study for a test and want to cheat, or would rather lie than solve a personal issue with someone please move along. I am not the guy for you.

I can understand that. It just sounds like you're looking for a more independent girl, which is something I'm positive is something most guys are looking for. c: It's not being independent as it is being mature, right? Someone who doesn't need their hand held through basic situations life throws at them? That makes sense! Well, I'm glad you figured out what you're looking for! n vn Now it's a matter of finding it, haha.

It's not just women who do that, though men -I must admit- are much more likely to step up. I think that's a very resonable thing to ask for. I mean, I've had to work to get where I am and I survived. And there are people in history-millions of them-who overcame a lot more than just a little teenage drama. When you do find that girl, I hope that you two will be very happy together! Hang in there and keep looking!! :)
