Gundam goodness!

So... I'm not sure where to put this, but here goes. I'm Kantaroth. I've introduced myself in the intro section, now time to bring up the stuff that I enjoy. I've always love mecha stuff, be it cartoons, anime, manga, games, heck even stuff that looks odd (Zone of Enders Crotch-pit anyone?) My first exposure to mecha was a Playstation One game called Z-Gundam (obviously, Zeta Gundam) and I've no idea why. That would become the most played game for my 10yr old self back then. My God, it has ben 16 years since. Today, thanks to technology that molds the HGUC models. And Gundam is one of those series where the fandom isn't exactly a sausagefest. (Case in point, VAMPY BIT ME next to me in my profile picture) so yay for gender meshing. <3 So! Anyone into mecha/Gundam stuff like me as well? :3 Doesn't matter if you're UC, AU, or AC. Gundam is Gundam, we all have the same mission. Shoot stuff up. Oh, and don't forget emotional tearjerks with tissue boxes.

Yes, I love gundam! especially Gundam 00, btw I've been wanting to get into gunpla but does it require any specific tools?

The older ones (from the 90's) require tools. The newer ones no longer requires complicated ones such as glue or coloration, but a pair of plastic cutters is essential. The ideal (and cheap to get) equipment before buying a box of gunpla of your choice would be: -A cutting mat -A pair of plastic cutters -A manicure file -Fine grade sandpaper (LV 2000) -Gundam marker (completely optional) Then you buy a gunpla (HG recommended for beginners. Don't be a dumbass like me and buy an MG. You may, but it's quite overwhelming). Now you're set!

I have a place to cut on check, sandpaper check, file check, no idea what a gundam marker is, and my friend says that nail clippers work is that true?

Nail clippers... I've tried them. Both the good quality ones and not good quality ones. You'll find plastic cutters more desirable, even the cheap ones. -thumbs up-

And a big cheer for gunpla! The way Bandai finances the franchise. My favorites are G Gundam and Build Fighters and I really liked Seed Destiny and the first half of ZZ. Always nice to meet new fans (who aren't UC elitists) and talk Gundam. So what's your favorite suit? Mine is the Gouf.

I'm not a UC elitist. Just not exactly fancy on the non-UC ones. xD I have....many favourites! But name the GM series, and I'll definitely bag 'em all. x3

Just to clarify, I never said you were. I've just had some less than pleasant dealings with some. They really spout off hate for non-UC Gundams. It's really sad. In any case did you hear about Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn? I can't wait to play it!

My favorites are: 0079/Zeta G Gundam X Turn A I hate to say I'm somewhat of a UC master race kind of guy, I didn't care for Wing, SEED, or 00. I am currently going through Unicorn now that it's finished and it's blowing my mind. SIEG ZEON!!!!!!

Sieg Zeon brother! UC I find always had the more gritty style of mobile suits and some of the zeon designs are just fantastic.. of course their were some of the failures cough acguy cough and to bring everybody together we have been blessed with gundam build fighter; thank god for a season 2
