when parents wont let their children watch anime...

Parents these days seem to think all anime is toxic to young viewers, even if the anime in question was tailor made for their age range (pokemon ect) What strikes me as odd is that me and my cousins all grew up watching them, yet now thatmost of them are parents theyre completely against passing it on to the next generation. Im the only one not married or without kids so i have no say so in the matter. (My parents even refer to it as cartoons and will go as far after a single episode to ask to change the channel so they can watch reality tv and adult dramas. Even if im watching the big o, cowboy bebop, or trigun.) Im not suprised though as even my nephew is forbidden from watching even american cartoons like looney toons and spongebob. Kids these days seem to only be allowed to watch disney channel, and ive seen some intolerant garbage on those shows being completely ignorant towards anyone outside the norm! What is this county coming to?

When parents don't let their children watch anime, they join ISIS. Don't let your children become terrorists. I don't have kids but I have a little sister. And when she's old enough I'll show her the shows that inspired me. Those kinds of things are where great thinkers and inventors get their inspiration from. Reality TV or dramas often tend to be escapist minus the inspiration. Nothing at all instilling hope for a better tomorrow.

My mom wouldn't let me watch DBZ, other than that I could watch all the other kids shows on toonami. Anime builds creativity and imagination.
