So from the looks of the last few panels of the chapter it appears that naruto is now in his inner world. And from confirmation from Masahi Kishimoto's official facebook page Naruto is about to meet someone. I believe that person to be jiraya because Naruto never had closure with him. It only seems fitting that now in his most dire time he will finally get to see his teacher again.

What could the original sage of six paths have to offer naruto in terms of a powerup? hes just a ghost that cant do anything.

Naruto could be the reincarnation of the sage it's only a theory on who he might meet anyway.
