Is race really a factor? O . o [Gomen for ranting]

minh
Though only a handful of these types of people even exist anymore seeing as the newer generations are a lot more rebellious, people tend to overlook that handful and assume that everyone should be able to stand up to their parents and bash on them if they don’t. What they also overlook is that this can be very stressful and people have killed themselves over it. Look at all of my cousins who have married so far, I’m thankful to be in a family where interracial relationships are accepted though I wish it could be the same for all other families also.

Ok, I'm sure that they're a handful of typos in there such as the 'Look' in the last sentence is supposed to be 'Looking. So sorry everyone. >_<

I know it's hard to go against parents in some cultures but that was everyone at some point even us African Americans weren't always rebellious. that chain 'can & will' be broken somewhere down the line. I have Indian-co workers who don't understand why I refuse to care for my parents when they get elderly or why I don't want anything to do with them. The ability to rebel is much easier when you're mentally & emotionally abused but even if I wasn't it's other factors that cause me to say I don't really want to date my own race. There's positive-attractive things I see in other races. I find Asian eyes very very pretty in males & females & the roundness of the face is also attractive to me personally.

For me, race ain't no thang. It's more of general looks (beauty transcends race) and personality. Also, I hold a fairly radical view (especially where I live) that race technically doesn't exist. It has caused so much harm and for what? So that one person could lord over others for simple differences that no can technically control?

I'm sorry to say but.. it sort of is for me even though I don't want to be racist :x I just am naturally more attracted to certain races over others. Not to mention how strict asian families can be as well.. they would go crazy if I were to date certain races, and I don't really want to deal with all the disapproval. But I guess if I were to fall for someone and love them enough, I can probably rebel in the end haha. It would be hard though.

mm well i think its more of what guys and girls are into, theirs alot of boys that are into dark women or light women ...and even ten women. like my mom she rather date a guy who's darker then her then lighter and were Spanish. as for me im into my white/tan boys XD! just something i grow into i guess. i mean you can fall for anyone it goes for who the person is on the inside i think

Ah, this topic mad me happy. To see SO MANY people able to understand and elaborate on the subject of "Interatial Dating", as well as "Personal Preference" brings a smile to my face. (Forgive me if I sound weird) There are people who BASICALLY understand the concept of having a choice in what you prefer as a love interest, and then there are people who can speak about this on such a plateau of intellect and articulate their own words in such a manner that shows how well they ascertained the subject. Those intellegent people are all of you.(Gosh, I'm sappy...) I know I don't need to say anything like this, but I WANTED to. Don't ask me why I'm like this, or where it comes from. I guess it's just apart of my personality, or maybe it's because I have so few people around me to talk about such things. I like it when so many people are on the same wavelength when debating on things like this. Anyway, to get onto the subject, I agree with Konad.
