let's talk furry

animecountryboy
ive been meaning to make this thread for a while, but just kept forgetting *note this is just talking about it, nothing to do with what we look for* i have a few friends who are furries, one of them even wears a tail all the time haha so i am used to them. i personally find animal ears and tail cute(think holo for example in the look), but not so far as to be called a furry. what are everyone's thoughts on furries? are you a furry? let's have an open talk about this. PS: please keep this civil, kind and most of all fun haha

Furries to me consist of more than just ears and a tail. I'm not one because I just do ears and tails and maybe a tee or hoodie that look animalistic, but I've known others. They will put on prosthetic facial pieces and paint their face/body up in addition to ears/horns and tails. Some even do the mascot looking suits to be totally integrated.

that is why i am not considered a furry, i only like the ears and tail, but i do know furries who like the whole body to be fur. both of my two friends who are full blown furry always draw humanoid animals(human body posture, but all animal features, fur, tail, ears, nose, mouth ect)

The furry craze just isn't my thing. I personally don't see the appeal of wearing a tail and cat/whatever animal ears out in public outside of a convention, but that's probably cause I'm a crotchety 32 year-old gaijin and not really into that sort of thing. XD I don't have a problem with people who do wear that stuff though. At least when I see it, I know they're probably pretty big otaku/brony/whatever else geek culture they enjoy at the moment.

I'm a little biased. I belong to a fringe spirituality community that involves therianthropes, among other things, and people tend to confuse therianthropes with furries, which pisses them off to no end. I don't have a problem with what people do in their free time, but it's really not for me, and I can understand the headaches my 'thrope friends get.

As long as the lady parts are reasonably attractive most of the rest I can deal with, you get older and your views on things soften to other things, at least it does for me so furries im cool with as long as it doesn't get annoying because being old means i do get annoyed more easily with those dam kids on my lawn with their hippity-hoppity music and clothes! *breaks out a cane*

Furry is more full on like say Felica from Darkstalkers or Viral from Gurren Lagann. What say Holo is is anamorphic. Like all the Dog Days characters too. While furries are okay I think I prefer anamorphic. They hage a certain cute appeal.
