That moment when...

When you're learning about another culture, especially it's language, there are moments when the culture has a greater influence than the one you live in. Ever have a strange moment after reading a manga or watching an anime, where things got a little wonky? I'll give my example. That moment when I'm studying the Japanese language, and I start to think with an accent, while still forming the words in English. What are your strange moments?

The moment when I say something in Chinese or Japanese over the phone and then in real life still talking with that accent in english or continue speaking it to the person. Example, telling my grandma I would be at her house in 10minutes. Had to buy something at store. Then asked the cashier in Chinese how much it cost.
