Political rants

No one is going to arrest them. Harm done is the catalyst for lawful intervention. To insist people be arrested for doing no harm is calling for the state to arrest anyone for any reason. YOU having a problem with a group of people or an action does not mean it should be illegal.

I'm going for a smoke, talking with you hurts.

You literally patted yourself on the back for saying i said stuff i didnt even say. YOU brought up them being arrested and then i said who is gonna arrest them if no harm was done? The issue here isnt even about them being harmed my issue was the cultral shift and society moving toward allowing what isnt supposed to be acceptable to then become acceptable.

@verucassault Well yeah i could have worded it differently but i mean I just wanted to get to the point. I believe that anyone with a functioning brain can realize "hey, im not ok with this stuff so i wont let it happen" but once you are dead and gone the kidd you raised hold up what is left of society. If they grow up in a sexualized environment, they will see things differently. If I raised my children to hate a specific group of people, congrats i just created an extremist group in 4 or so generations.

What you said: "... If the kid isnt being outright harmed its considered harmless fun..." My reply: "...Harm done is the catalyst for lawful intervention. To insist people be arrested for doing no harm is calling for the state to arrest anyone for any reason..." Me trying to explain why a cultural shift and society moving toward allowing what isn't supposed to be acceptable to then become acceptable doesn't matter in the context of politics: "YOU having a problem with a group of people or an action does not mean it should be illegal."

I'm hoping from change from within. I see more and more gay and lesbian content creators speaking out about these very things. I think Pride Parades and events should strictly be 18 and up unless it's a "Family Pride" event. Children would be allowed, but there is a dress code, no nudity, no drug, kink, or sex paraphernalia. There needs to be guidelines to them. Just think about it, they have people from all ages at different parts of their life getting together to celebrate being gay. For some it's about being able to live out in the open, get married, have children, do the normy thing. Some aren't even thinking long term or about families, they are just celebrating their sexuality. For the record most events I went to did express somewhere in the details if it was 18 and up. My life has been busy for the last 15 years and I rarely go to Pride events anymore, but, only within that time have I noticed kids showing up more and more to these events. Lol just stop. Wasn't there a pic floating around a year or two ago of a woman letting her toddler sip out of a penis straw at a Pride event? Can we just not? Hire a fucking babysitter and go to the parade.

Why is it that you feel you have the right to tell them how they should live or express what their culture can and can't do? Let's let them randomly ban "straight" shit and see how it feels. No more PDA for straight couples, let them decide what is too much or too little clothing for straight people to wear in public, what venues straight people are allowed to preform in or what age is appropriate for someone to express being straight. When the roles are reversed it sounds bad huh? Equality is the law of the land and it was given to us by the constitution and it's amendments. What straight people can do, the lgbtq+ community should be able to do too. To insist laws be made otherwise (and in the context of politics that is what we are talking about) is unconstitutional and to eradicate this community through laws preventing them from existing is genocidal. You might think that statement is over the top but by insisting that group follow your values by law, that is what you are doing.

I'm bi, shouldn't I have a say?
twobananasshyofapumpkinpie
Well fuck, I'm sorry. I absolutely did some assuming. I'll try to work on that in further discussions. So here's the big situation we allies end up facing eventually. Yes you absolutely should have a say, between you and the rest of the lgbtq+ community. As an advocate I can only defend the common consensus and the community as a whole against accusations of being predators.
verucassault
Moving on from that, I'll explore swapping for the sake or argument. Where and when do straight communities get together to put their children on stripper poles? It doesn't happen which is why it sparks outrage.
