If someone can convince me that companies doing this under handed stuff is good for the economy then I MIGHT consider not hating them.

As bad at it sounds, not everyone can be rich, not everyone can rise up and be this prominent figure who can push people to do something. Thats how hitler started, or any sort of bad guy in history. If everyone was rich who would be our trashmen or dishwashers or mailmen? Yes some things corporations do are evil and alot of which probably arent necessary. But it keeps the masses at bay.

Why exactly does anyone have to be rich? I see no issue with a society where becoming as pointlessly rich as is possible in our society is impossible. There have been studies done on happiness and how it correlates to wealth... rich people ain't happy. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/05/can-money-buy-happiness-debate-study-on-success.html#:~:text=A%202010%20study%20out%20of,they%20feel%2C%20the%20study%20found.

@solid_snake95 It isn't. The days of free exchange are dying. No longer are millionaires made because people willingly gave them money for a product or service. We are compelled to buy certain products. Like Apple products, a job that I applied for demanded that I have the latest generation of iPhone. I told them to screw themselves. Besides, I don't want work bothering me at all times of the day. When I leave the facility, you leave me alone. I put in my 10 hours that day, you don't get more. The most easy example I can give is Texas Instruments and their government mandated monopoly over the education market. A graphing calculator made by Texas Instruments is about $5 to build. They charge over $80 for this thing using a processor from the 1970s and the cheapest LCD screen possible. But if you wander into a standardized test with a Sharp calculator that does the same thing, you will be disqualified from the test. I support minimal government intervention in the business world. Only there to play as a referee in company vs company court cases, maybe collect a few taxes, and making sure that they aren't making a mess of people's lives like 3M did when they dumped teflon remnants into a local river. They are still trying to keep that waterway isolated from other waterways. The more government has been involved with business, the more we risk the business running the government. @hell_hound7 Well that isn't my point, I don't mind millionaires or even billionaires. Their company gives people work. Problem is when they have a backdoor monopoly that the government has sanctioned.

I want to be happy but all these prices being jacked up to ridiculous amounts of money I owe people. It makes it really hard to survive taking care of my mom. Some days it kinda makes me want to give up trying at all.

Well... who do you think is raising those prices? Not me and my neighbors paying some dude who happened to inherit some property to have a fucking roof over our heads.

Idk but I wanna give up so much but I can't. I wish I could be a normal college student not having to worry about anything besides grades in classes.
