Either way I'm watching the inauguration for the historical significance of happening right after the storming of the capital. Plus we will see an empty national Mall during it

@hell_hound7 No, this has been going on for at least a decade, two decades since the initial oppression of the Uighur minorities have happened. They are basically being treated like the cattle to be used for labor and for organ harvesting as well. This is something especially disturbing since the Chinese know what this is like with the Japanese occupation of China during WW2. They had to deal with the issue of Nanjing, Unit 734 (do not look at pictures of this) as well as villages being burned to the ground with everybody still inside. People don't realize how horrific the Chinese government is because we have way too many institutions running interference for them.

It's normal to be outraged. Human actually. What is happening there is disgusting, inhumane and unforgivable. But this critique coming from the US government? Only thing that comes to mind is their thought process. Must've been like "Hm. Who's the bigger enemy? China or the Islam? Who should we trash in media more this time?". Seems like China won this time. The hypocrisy though.. especially as the powerful elite of the US is essentially doing a similar thing to black people in jail (I recommend reading "The New Jim Crow" to anyone interested in this topic. Good starter.). For anyone who might feel angered by this comment: US government =/= the US/the people living there. I don't think any normal person in the US has anything to do with this shit. It's the rich and powerful. Politicians, billionaires and people involved in the US legislative processes. They have the power to change these things. They don't. They prefer whatever benefits them individually.

Most news I see now mostly goes on about drug trafficking in Houston and someone shot someone. Most often a white person shot a black person. Then twitter goes off with everyone pissed off saying "this is why white people fucking crazy". I admit the person who did it may have been racist or something but man twitter really reaches painting all white people bad. At one point I wished to be born any other ethnicity because of the backlash.

What is posted on twitter is a very tiny representation of people's actual opinions. Twitter is a trash can on fire. Had an account for 2 days. Deleted it immediately.

@solid_snake95 I don't have a problem with the rich oddly enough. It is rather what they do with their influence that infuriates me. Take IBM or DEC, the original tech giants of the 1970s and 80s. Both were absolute giants and now DEC is just plain gone and IBM is relegated to the Mainframe and research supercomputer market. Why did this happen? They allowed competition, with companies such as Dell and Packard Bell able to sell their products for far cheaper than IBM they beat IBM through legitimate competition. IBM didn't try to crush them with draconian lawsuits and influence from the government. Now let's go to Apple and Google in modern times. They are using their raw money and influence to suppress any competition despite some competition being able to provide a superior product. They have government officials in their pockets that make it so that new competitors can't rise up to beat Apple and Google. The tax cut signed by Donald Trump was actually far more dangerous to these corporations than people realize. An upstart company simply cannot afford such taxes without large investors. Apple and Google? They can take the hit, but even worse is that they will set up offices in other countries with a far lower tax rate than the US. This means that Apple and Google with have more offices spread in countries that have this lower tax rate and keep a minimal presence in the US. Yes headquarters is in the US, but that is more arguably for show rather than anything else. So with the tax cut, this allows a company that is getting started to have a bit of financial leeway and rise up to fight the big conglomerates. Another thing was the tariffs with China. Apple factories get away with paying $7 a week to the workers in these factories. The idea is to force Apple to bring production facilities to the US by making outsourcing unfeasible. Might be able to get factories open in Mexico, but the Mexicans don't work for the peanuts that they offer in China. This is the reason Apple ended up being a Trillion dollar company, by taking advantage of deals that were made to benefit them and other large companies, but only them and not anybody else. This is why IBM is still one of my favorite large companies, they do not try to leverage the government to make special rules for them.
