Why is it ever time someone makes something good we are lucky to get 13 episodes

Depending on the amount of material in the manga, 12-13 episodes is fair. For some series, i'd rather them not milk the read of the manga material and have to go anime original route as a result of doing 24 episodes.

12-13 eps are called half seasons, and it's because japans economy isnt the best atm, especially the anime industry thats why wer also having an influx of 7 min mini episodes of animes as well second seasons tend to be based off merch sales, so not enough merch bought=no second chance anime costs a shit ton of money to produce (in the millions) so its no surprise really

iv heard that but idk how that works manga companies and anime companies are two different entities im not sure why kyoani would put money into an anime to help out shonen jump

i think cartoons work differently these days since they passed laws against cartoons selling things to kids i think cartoons get paid from commercials and merch is just a bonus then again didnt they axe synbiotic titan because it didnt sell merch? idk i may be wrong
