One of my favorites is just a simple negroni, just equal parts gin, campari and sweet vermouth. Shake with ice and pour in an old fashioned glass with a lemon peel.

lol gin is just the best for me i never worry about a hangover the next day and can get one in an hour or two for work later i never had a headache the next day but i have been still drunk the next day lol

Everything Gin does, Vodka can do better. But it's also an acquired taste. I definitely don't drink it straight but use it for certain cocktails and while sometimes the fruity shit mixed in it will make it less abrasive, there's still that hint of "well that's obviously gin". I don't hate it though, sometimes it feels good to punish your tongue.
