Discuss Your Political Philosophy/Ideology

In social issues, I'm relatively progressive, and in other categories, I tend to have more complicated viewpoints that mostly weigh the arguements, and find my personal points of view somewhere in the middle. The eagle needs both wings to fly after all. Sadly in America, I feel that right now, we have a very lopsided eagle compared to the rest of the world. The right wing is too stubborn to work with right now, and the left wants to be to centric, and we're steering towards a cliff a little too fast.

Centre-Left with a huge disdain for identity politics and extremism. i hate the people who call you racist/bigoted/islamphobic/sexist/redneck if you disagree with them and i hate who call you a cuck/communist/sjw/muslim/minority" if you disagree with them. i hate the people who can't criticize their beliefs. I guess the best quote for me would be: "To know, is to know that you know nothing. That is the meaning of true knowledge." by Socrates. He's not saying be an idiot. He's saying know your limits. I admit my knowledge of economics, science, religion, democracy, communism, facism, islam, judaism, etc. are entry-level. You know those people who think they know everything there is about those topics just by looking at a couple of article headlines and regurgitating stuff they saw in memes and youtube videos they skipped around? He's saying not to be one of those bozos. I guess that's why politics irks me. I admit my faults often. People in Youtube comments sections never seem to.

I consider myself center-right. It always troubles me however when any moderate Republican shows disdain towards topics like climate change, or vaccination. The fact that I lean to the right is more due to the ideals they have when it comes to the economy.

I'll say I'm centerish with an increasing lean to the right characterized with some of the following: *I lean social conservatism - that traditions and the like should be valued by default unless there is overwhelming reason to change them (as in more than just "change is good" or "just because") *Very pro Second Amendment (a conservative issue - the single biggest issue that drives me away from the left - they are beyond dead wrong on this issue but will not budge on it) this would make me come off the most conservative by far *Moderate but leftish leaning economically - I like capitalism and all but trickle down economics definitely need to be more of a thing (whether it happens more naturally or whether it is forced to trickle) *I lean authoritarian - laws and regulations tend to exist for a good enough reason to be followed by default and proper channels and means should be used to change laws and regulations instead of just engaging in anarchy *I feel that some liberal principles and core beliefs are good and valuable but their execution of their ideals is putrid and disdainful and makes their otherwise acceptable views intolerable I've honestly been a political agnostic before this election cycle but well this unique one drew me out. After peeking at how both sides are during the campaign and especially after the election the way (some) liberals/"progressives" conduct themselves is disgusting and by default I'll be voting as red as possible in every election.

In a dream world I would want Space travel, no money, people work to get to space, nano human augmentation, make a super AI that governs us and we all uplink to it and share our needs and wants, we are NOT connected to each other just the machine, No more long yrs of school just a matrix world that takes a few seconds in real time but in the matrix world it's years. You start school at age 4 - 7 and after that you have up till 18 to do what ever but you can start work early if you want. Leave our solar system and span out to other universes and get out of the space bubble and into other space bubbles and take them over. Now would this ever happen no we will most likely have war die even if the wars don't kill us we will run out of time and die in our solar system as the sun eats us all alive. My big political thing would be no money and no more human run governments I want a benevolent dictator machine to rule. I want people to work to get humanity past the limits of our selves and earth.

I'm neutral in all of it, but my views has slowly became someone right wing since last year

I stand by George Washington's statement about nonpartisanship. "However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." But in an imperfect world you have to pick a side, so I'll go with the route that upholds traditional Christian morals which is on the conservative side and is 99% of the time Republican. I'm also for common sense, transparent, and realistic policies which have an emphasis on financial growth and personal financial freedom. That could be regarded as a form of utilitarianism which is more of a philosophy than a system of political beliefs. --------------------------------- "We are attracted to someone for their good qualities, but we fall in love with them for their flaws." - ??
