Which do you prefer subbed or dubbed?

rani
My personal preference is subbed but I know people who have debated about the topic before. So what do you think?

Subbed. My reasoning is episode 11 of Oretachi ni tsubasa wa nai.

Subbed, unless the dubbed version is better http://static.zerochan.net/Yuzuki.Yukari.full.1903707.jpg

if the dub is serviceable enough I tend to watch it instead of the sub. Much easier to indulge in the visuals on the screen when not having to read.

If possible I'd watch it dubbed while having the subtitles turned on to get the best of both worlds.

Both.

I like my anime RAW ... taking 3 semester of Japanese really paid off so I can watch anime and know what the characters are saying to each other... There are a few anime which I have to watch SUBs such as Ghost in the Shell or any anime which does not use everyday Japanese lingo

Personally I prefer dubbed. However, there are exeptions, like Attack on Titan!

Depends on my mood, really. Though if I'm binge watching I'm going dubbed, reading on screens for an gets painful quick.

To me it really just matters which one I watched first. After the first episode I have heard each characters voices and recognize the characters by them, it feels weird to try and switch to the other format, even if it is "better" by public standard. Also I always check to make sure the entire series is dubbed before I watch it dubbed because I absolutely hate switching over, they feel like brand new characters if they have different voices.
