Cons in NY/NJ

Do anyone go to those, such as NYCC or animenext? I'm always hungry for more cons in this area because wtf out of all states, new york doesnt have any decent anime conventions. it's a travesty. So does anyone attend cons or anime meetups around the city, or have any anime-related places they recommend? :3

nice!!! unfortunately i cant make it to anext this year bc im out of state. it was alot of fun the last time i went!! pretty overcrowded tho :/

yeah we have roc-con / toracon in my city but I've missed them every year tbh they're just breeding grounds for middle school weebs, I wanna go to a real con T.T

Aaand now it's moving to Atlantic city next year, making it a worse drive for a lot of people. Supposedly this new place is bigger, so I can understand why as it's getting really overcrowded. Part of the reason I personally liked animeNEXT though was being close enough to just commute back and forth. ;-;
