How to talk to shy or introverted people

How to talk to a shy person huh... Well for me, the best way to do that is to take the lead in the conversations. I am already an avid texter and grammar whore, (Comes with writing and lyric translation) so even my small texts turn out to be these huge paragraphs xD So it isn't hard for me to conquer this mole hill, but the mountainous part would be getting them to open up and start taking themselves... and the best way I have found to do that, is to be both humorous, and put them into extremely awkward positions where they have to talk back. Even though your Tsun target may lash out and get mad, just keep prodding them until you're close enough to be trusted and talked openly to.

Hmm...start from the usual topics (food/music/shows)? If that fails, I would ask about the other party's experience in school/work/select events. The key here is to be a good listener and be genuinely interested in the person (introvert or extrovert).

Yeah. Especially being an outgoing person you should have no problems starting and keeping the conversation going. Get them talking about things they're interested in to make them comfortable.

Well I just treat them like everybody else, Say hello, Ask them what they like, Talk. That's my conversation routine at least.

I'm rather introverted the best thing in my opinion to do is to start the conversation first but don't be to pushy that will get you put on the annoying list I say try to have a conversation about once a week and see if it picks up if it doesn't then that are not interested also remember to stay out of the introverts personal space witch is generally about three feet in every direction only enter the personal space one you have been invited. In my opinion the best thing to do to shy people is to make the first move most of the time once they get used to you they are really fun to be around.
