Sofiechan I had the same worries about my convention. It helps to have someone with you. Then just tag along with them the whole time until it starts to feel more comfortable (maybe you could try "lovingly" guilting someone to come with you if they're not that interested in going.)

Naito-kun- thank you, I never usually have to write introductions, I can easily introduce myself in person but somehow putting it into words to write seems hard, so I'm happy I was able to do ok :D animekid- ye that's probably what I'll have to do... or just end up kidnapping someone to go with me haha, but I'll definitely try to make sure I go to a convention soon :)

I just expanded my con attendance rate to 2 cons just last year so now and I'm loving it. The new con I'm attending is/was my first con that I attend all by myself, from start to finish. You know what? I actually made friends too ^_^

yes and that's exactly what I would say to the police when they ask why I kidnapped someone. but I do think I have someone in mind to ask to go with me, but if they even respond to me at all would be a miracle... and wow that's good, a really great achievement ◕‿◕｡ I kind of feel that as I'm quite shy and I'm not too sure how to make new friends then I'd just end up being a loner, but I'll keep having faith that it will work out for the best ＾▽＾

Yay conventions are awesome, after the first time going you will want to go to more convention then moree untill u start going out of state convetions etc its awesome

Hai Sophie! ^-^ welcome to the site! I've always liked anime but, after 2009 when I watched Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood I started to get more into it. My favorite anime of all time is the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya! and you should definitely go to a convention! looking forward to getting to know you! ^^

KyonSuzumiya- i love the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, it is seriously funny, although the Endless Eight should perhaps have been the Endless Five haha Jezh22- I really hope that's how I feel after going to my first convention :) I'm looking forward to it but yet so nervous
