Starting with my otaku side:

Anime/manga/Japanese food, culture, etc... are one of my biggest passions. I love to cook homemade Japanese food (oden, nabe, Japanese style curry, gyoza, onigiri, miso soup with tofu, soba, somen, udon, etc...). I am hoping to learn to speak Japanese in the near future, and have been trying to teach myself on and off for years. I would love to find someone to help me. My list on here of anime/manga that I have seen/read is woefully incomplete considering I have read over 200 series over the course of the last 10+ years.

I'm also into lots of sci-fi, fantasy, and (to a lesser degree) American comics. I'd love to go to ComicCon someday. My kids and I go to an anime convention nearly every year and I make them costumes for the event. I would like to go through the JET programme and live in Japan for a few years.

Now on to the more personal details:

I'm a super busy single mom of two (12 and 14, one of whom lives with me) who works an average of 56 hours a week and goes to school full-time online while participating in practicum at local schools for 1-7 hours a day for 1-3 days most weeks.

I am not a typical woman by society's standards since I rarely shave any part of my body (although I do trim on occasion). When not at home I typically wear sweat-pants or yoga pants, a baggy shirt or tank top, and a hoodie. I almost never wear makeup or paint my nails, rarely wear jeans, skirts, or fancy clothes, and alternate between super short and really long hair. However, I do not feel that these things make me masculine, nor do I feel like I act masculine.

I have recently come out to myself and my family as bisexual. Because I am recently "out" I have never been in a romantic relationship with a woman before. Being a truly monogamous person, I'm looking to find my soulmate and lifemate. Gender doesn't matter to me at all, so I'm totally willing to commit to a lifetime relationship with either a guy or a gal.
