Hmm I'm pretty sure there's a lot of anime fans in Chicago. Its a big thing. Sometimes we just do random photoshoots for fun and waste the day away. And yeah save up as much because there's a huge urge to buy quite a bit of stuff once you see cute things in the dealer room ofc.

Chocopyro @chocopyro I second this. A good survival tip is also to get roommates to split the cost of rooms. Or pack a sleeping bag for worst case scenarios. This one time, at colossalcon (Yes, I'm totally using the "this one time at band camp voice"), I camped out in my car and managed to spend about 15 dollars the entire weekend for food. (Course I pre-reged way in advance for a badge to save money.) So it could be done for cheap, but it isn't recommended. For one, I had to sneak into the kalahari water park just to use their showers. I don't plan on doing that this year! ...Or like ever again.
