Well computer knowledge in general. Solving problems is always nice, and on the game end of things, 'backup' loading is great.
Homebrew is interesting too.

It's cool, I know how that is.
Outside all the fun things you can do with it (I have a lot of modded consoles and setting things up for FTP is convenient), it's very complex and I find various aspects of it interesting (like the protocols, ipv4 vs ipv6). Plus I enjoy running Ethernet cable and micromanaging things.
I'd speak more in terms of programming but I haven't done much in that regards.
