You kids today have been spoiled! Back when some of the older games came out they were pant-shittingly frightening! Today everyones already seen excessive violence, but not of all us had that opportunity! Christ, there were even tines when playing turn based games would have you in a nervous wreck....

Well Silent Hill series comes to mind, I loved the series and played it since it first came out (back on my old PSX). It like the Resident Evil (Bio hazard) series are more survival Horror though. Tried some of the Clocktower series on PSX and PS2 but depending on which title you get your either the villain or a heroine and the stories much like the Silent Hill series don't run together. 2 titles that are more suspense thriller and less gore/horror that are really well done imo are Ps2's "Indigo Prophecy" (called Fahrenheit for international release) and the same producers next game on PS3 called "Heavy Rain". A third game is in the works and possibility of a 4th that could be slated to be Heavy Rain's sequel.

The original Silent Hill is still one of my favorite horror games. There literally had been nothing like it up to that point when it came out. It took everything creepy about Resident Evil and twisted it into a much darker and twisted atmosphere. It was almost like playing a horror movie.
