Sometimes you just got to drink a big cup of "man the f*** up". No offense to anyone just a term. How I fight my shyness is I look around at everything to find something to talk about it. Confronting somone wise is just do it, don't give yourself time to think. The more you plan the more that can go wrong. Being shy also gives you a perspective on how to break the ice. I would be more concerned if people started calling you a NEET or a hikikomori. On topic I like outgoing, life of the party girls. I'm a quiet personality myself and I think it would be better to end up with an outgoing girl that will pull me out of my comfort zone and get me to not be so quiet lol

There's actually a pretty good anime called Welcome the NHK that deals a lot about the subject of NEETs and hikikomoris. Might wanna look it up.
