Seems excessive to ban teenagers from social media. Do I think they should be allowed on all platforms? Hell no. The last time I logged onto X I had 8 new followers and they were all wearing skimpy clothes. Can you guess how many replies they all had? 0. Likes? Tons, every porn clip and sex workers posts. I don't live in Florida, but just based on headlines and the Legend of Florida-man, Florida citizens and youth need all they help they can get before people start spraying their crops with Gatorade. Be interesting to see how it turns out.

It struck me as weird because that area is usually for parental rights and less government oversight. I'm curious if they'll be backlash or if they'll accept it.

I agree with banning kids off social media. You dont realize how many kids get targeted by predators. Its not just that parents need to be watching their children, they will KNOW their kids are online twerking and all this and ignore it as little kids playing. But yeah i agree with barring kids from being on certain social media. Now will this protect children 100%? No, but as someone who has been trying to get into the cyber crimes industry and successfully reported a whole network of malicious sites to the proper authorities. Yeah you would be surprised how much goes on under the innocent guise of a child playing around on social media. They would ask them to do something that seems harmless on places like tiktok like banging their fist up and down but it has sexual implications. But kids are innocent and sometimes it extends further than that. Also anything live stream related should have an ID threshold. Because while naked videos are promptly banned all it takes is one creep with a screenrecord and that gets circulated around the internet.

I actually have to agree with the legislation banning minors from social media. If we were talking about some sort of neutral communications platform, then I would be more hesitant about it. The reality is that there are too many grooming and abuse cases coming from social media that it can be deemed a threat to the wellbeing of kids and teenagers. It is the digital equivalent of allowing underage individuals into an 18+ nightclub.

True not to mention places like twitter, where porn and onlyfans is easily accessible. Tiktok too many of the creators will make thirst traps with their onlyfans listed somewhere on their page. Even if you wanna argue that its paid for content, some people have free pages. Exposing children to these things is harmful. As someone who was exposed to things as a child that i shouldnt have had access too, as well as having unsupervised access to the early days of the internet. I can 100% say kids dont belong on social media. This is how porn addictions start, this is how people get preyed on and groomed, this are how dangerous material involving minors get collected. I might be an armchair activist on this issue. But i realize the cultral shift is gonna make these things more socially acceptable. We already see it with the trans stuff. Kids can give lap dances to old men and its fine cuz its just them expressing their inner gender and having fun at drag parties. But soon it will become socially acceptable. First its trans kids then its ok for kids to be gay and have gay sexual relations and then if thats the case then normal non gay kids can do it and its basically pandoras box.

How is that not happening must i bust out the article of a boy at a drag party giving lap dances? I didnt just make this up with my over active imagination. I wish i was making it up, but the truth is kids go to these LGBT parades and there will be literal naked people flaunting about and people with pasties on and all that. There is proof for all of this.

Yeah absolutely, with a claim like that, always proof. I suspect though, you'll link some innocent shit like Santa at the mall and claim because it's with a Trans person it's sexual.
