@arc the issue is I dont believe America lives under the same model that we used to. I would say we are moving toward a more totalitarian or communist society. We are already starting to see states and representatives push those types of ideologies. In addition to that, we are seeing monopolies grow more and more which is killing off competition and causing innovation to fall to the wayside. I dont believe America is even a democracy anymore. You are starting to see people who are unelected dictate what the people should live by. In certain instances i will use sweet baby as an example. I mean these arent really the same in a sense but it helps drive my point. But sweet baby said that consumers should not be catered to as it hinders the creative process. Well you can say if you arent catering to the people buying your product then we just dont buy your products. But then we have the government who we cant do that with. Like sure we can get everyone to stop paying taxes but the odds of that happening are slim. Then we can argue we elected certain officials. But then in the case of the president not EVERYONE voted for them. Then the people who vote for them dont want freedom when the people who have that sort of american spirit do. Its similar to china with how hongkong doesnt wanna be a communist society but doesnt have a choice because its majority rules.

Before I get into that, I need to know, given Tucker's track record, does he bend over to kiss the kremlin's ass as often as Trump? I ended up with way too much racist shit on my feed the last time I tried to watch a video from him. I don't wanna deal with pro-kremlin crap either.

@chocopyro no this is an MSM narrative that Trump and his supporters actually kiss Putin's ass. Infact he interrupts putin several times to ask "how does this have any relevance?" But Putin breaks down basically what lead up to Russia being against the US. Which imo is sort of propaganda in a sense. While i do not doubt that some of what is said is true, i also know he wasnt just an innocent angel toeard the US. He was putting bounties on American soldiers for years or at least thats the narrative the Us has been pushing. But basically tucker actually tries to get to the root of the cause for everything going on

The thing is people like to push this idea the putin is some sort of evil dictator hellbent on destroying the world. While there is truth to some of the claims about the russian leadership i dont think all of it is true. We literally fight tooth and nail towars russia but china has literally declared war on taiwan which we said we will defend and we are buddy buddy with them. I just find it absolutely weird how the narrative is we gotta appease china so we dont start a war and keep things peaceful but have constantly antagonized russia who is in the same boat. It seems like something is going on there. I forgot which famous person it was that went over to china and said we needed to adopt their model literally the communist model they wanted to replicate here in the west. Its just weird.

Ugh I mentioned this interview to a friend because I started listening to it while I did some desk work and the response I got is why I try to avoid talking shit about Russia. It's never as simple as "war bad, peace good" though I do wish it were that simple. Her knee jerk reaction to me even mentioning Putin was "Yeah, that interview as something else! You know because Putin is a man of peace! You know sometimes you just gotta kill a few hundred thousand people in order to get peace! You know break a few eggs to make a piece omelette I suppose." << this is verbatim, btw and then she ended it with "Putin is an evil lying horrible man." As if she is personally offended by the man. I'm not. Nothing I can do will help Russia or change the goings-on in Russia. But I also want to avoid villainizing him since that's 95% of the things I hear about him. Do I believe it's ALL propaganda? No. But I do want to get the information from the horse's mouth and make my own informed decision. I honestly abhor people with knee jerk reactions like this. Not only is it insulting me for being interested in something but also showing a willingness to remain ignorant, which is shameful to me. It's these kind of conversations that honestly have me answering the phone less and less when she calls.

Yeah my coworker is like that, he basically tells me any white person with a trump hat is a white supremacist. Actually his word and i quote "when i see the hat i think of the klan" and im like let me get this straight, the man was in power for 4 whole years has a base of people who supposedly are white supremacists and then proceeds to do absolutely nothing warranting that label. Like now if you wanted to say he was that after he tried to reverse civil rights then i understand. Its this hardcore narrative with no viable proof. Its like people have been brainwashed into believing things without questioning. Hey why is it that these guys are doing the same thing they told us not to do? Or why is it that this thing they keep pushing doesnt actually do what they told me it would. Now i get it, this coming from me as a "religious nut" sounds hypocritical. But unlike religion no one is profiting off my ignorance. If i buy into the narrative that putin is evil then i will support the blatant money laundering in Ukraine by sending them money. But its not like the church is gettng money off of me, and no specific person is recieving my support beyond God.
