Got Insomnia?

If you're depressed you've just gotta just learn to be happy, like me. I learned that when muh puppy died. #importantlifeskizizelz I feel as though that sort of "wisdom" is a bit redundant.... maybe. When it comes to MEDICAL(If that is what it is.) things, sometimes it's a bit more complicated and sometimes, just sometimes... Stating the obvious and oversimplifying things is more of an insult than a help. I'll be going back to my corner, now. Peace out, yo.

Depression to me is like an ocean. It's dark, deep, and you never know how's the waters are going to act. Are they calm today or am I going to have to fight to keep my tears from bleeding past my smiley mask whilst fighting my watery demons that plague my mind. Doing all they can to pull me under. And yes, finding ways to make yourself happy does help with this struggle but you can't always win. Finding friends and other outlets are like life vests, they keep you from drowning in the depths but your still surrounded by it and fighting the torrent of the storm as you attempt to pull yourself back into the better thoughts of you mind. I normally don't talk about these types of subjects because it gives them more life inside of me and I never want people to view me in such a way but it's part of the reason I'm here in the first place. Please forgive, the waters are a bit choppy today.

Missed the point entirely, but best of luck and "stay positive".

One month taking the sleep cocktail and things are going well. I come out of deep sleep around 5 am but some mornings I'm able to go right back to sleep. The mix is amazing. I have had a few overnight trips where I didn't take the supplements, so I know I probably don't have to take them all the time... but man I can tell the difference when I do.

Used to have severe insomnia and was on many different kinds of medication to help me sleep. When I lost my health insurance I had to cut it out cold turkey, went through harsh withdraws but with determination I eventually had to train myself to sleep without taking any sleeping aids. What helped me push through was being able to fall asleep eventually after many sleepless nights without meds while dealing with withdraws and told myself if I can endure this and still manage to sleep then I should be able to train myself to sleep again and not rely on meds anymore and maybe feel healthier once I can get this down, I thought. Sometimes the solution to insomnia may seem abstract, whether it's a mindset or coming up with a sleep ritual eventually pays off from my experience.

Cool. I wish I could delete comments on my threads sometimes.

I do sometimes. As a highly-sensitive individual, I feel the Full Moon making it more difficult for me to stay asleep while the New Moon makes it more difficult for me to wake up. NOW brand melatonin and turmeric golden milk help me sleep a lot. Big sister has much worse insomnia, especially when she drinks too much American plastic bottle high-fructose corn syrup Coca-Cola, which I really hate drinking.

Interesting someone brought up full moons giving them sleep apnea. Call me crazy, but maybe there is something to lunar phases and sleep disruption. I'll admit ever since I was a child something about the moon has effected my energy levels at night. In fact my mother used to mention she'd be awakened when I was a toddler because I wanted her to let me outside to play in its light. Odd coincidence that moons and lunacy go hand in hand. Hmm... https://i.ani.me/0350/0800/screenshot_20230601-233458-355.png

It's reared it's head again. I have only taken my supplements as needed for the last few weeks.
