Is it important for you that your girlfriend/boyfriend is an otaku too?

ohnoes
See, I honestly could not handle someone with ANY obsession, but I got lucky enough to find a woman who will watch, discuss and enjoy anime with me. I would not dream of dropping her in lieu of a hobby. To each thier own, but obsession often takes away from putting the other person first (as they should with you). There should be a mutuality of sorts, but a mutual obsession is a horrible, horrible thing. I don't speak out of ignorance nor from a point of attack.

It is not important. However, it is important that they own an interesting soul which enables them to be able to admire the beauty of life/nature, to be curious of fields they have little knowledge in. I don't believe this kind of people will be "normies" heh, they are more like hermits.

I have the same opinion as Enki when it comes to this subject honestly. I have dated quite a few people who weren't that into anime and honestly it was fine. But that was mainly because they were open-minded and weren't against the idea of trying to pick up anime or trying new things in general. I mostly find it important that my partner is a person who is just easy-going and can respect and appreciate different lifestyles. Sounds simple but people like that are surprisingly rare. :v
