Today I finally ran another 5k after 3 weeks. After that 5k I ran a month ago I got runners knee, and that really sucked waiting to heal. Today I did make my best time on my route around home. Only had to pause to walk once halfway through to get my heart rate down. I really want to be able to jog the entire 5k I entered in on July 4th. Really need to get my cardio in better shape because my muscles are there. Training cardio sucks...

So I have an app through my health insurance that gives me 3 daily walking/running quests, and pays me a dollar a day per each completed quest. I've started walking 6x times a day 500 steps each, and one day do all three quests 10k steps, 6x walks, and 30 min jogging. Let me tell you it really sucks. Everything about cardio sucks. It's so hard to get better. Oh, and on top of this I'm still going to the gym with my friends 2-3x a week. I think I'm starting to lose weight so I ate almost a whole pizza in one sitting. So tired....

Today in the mirror I noticed some new muscles defining themselves. The rectus abdominis, top two abdominal muscles. I've been trying to do some cardio ab workouts to help train for the 5k I have next month for when my knees need a rest. I'm doing at least 5k steps a day and 2x 4k runs a week to build up my cardio. I'm losing too much weight though. Lost 3 pounds in a week. I really gotta find a good, lean protien powder to help me meet my protein goals to actually keep building muscle. Biggest muscle strength: Upper back Comparative weakness: Chest I gotta go harder on chest next week.

I miss the days that I got closer to 12,000 steps in.... Sorta miss, that is. Don't do manual work.... Unless you want to hurt for life. yippee...

@yaasshat Yeah, I want to be really careful my workouts. I know too many people who had a random injury from doing an exercise wrong or pushed it too hard and it came back to bite them years later.

Last night I had a dream I was running a 5k inside of an anime convention that snaked through multiple conference rooms and escalators. I have a theme in most of my dreams where I shovel food directly into my gullet, so of course as I was running I stole handfuls of sushi and korean fried chicken into my mouth as I was running and I pissed people off because I was running right though private corporate events. I am hungry 24/7. Even when I sleep.

Tomorrow morning I am running in a huge 10k event with like 20 thousand people in it. I'm not going in it to make a new best time per say. I just want to experience a big ass 5k. I now have 2 knee braces that I will wear so I don't ruin my knees again trying to push out my best time

Yesterday I completed the 10k in 1h 14m. For the first 5km I was above average in the men's category, but on the 10k part I fell back into the average range. Had to take some walking breaks on the second half. Everything is sore. Everything hurts.

Last week I did a 4 mile run event at night which was really fun. About 900 people showed up. I did my best run yet. Jogged the whole 4 miles at a steady pace and got the whole thing done in 41 minutes which put me in the top 1/3rd of runners! When it starts to cool off I'm going to do some more outdoor running. Might run and grab a salad bar in town and then run back home.
