They came today! They taste good which they better cause its pretty pricey lol . 34 bucks but eh it beats having to spend that much for a stuff in a recipe

Oh man, this one was difficult, even without any added weight to the bar! I did 3 sets of 8. I think it's going to be a while before I can work my way up to putting weight on the bar.

@arc Excellent work. I tell you this. Adding weights will be a lot sooner than you think. My only advice is the very second you feel comfortable doing 3 sets of 10, add weight. Stay uncomfortable, the final 3 reps in a set should be a struggle.

Today I worked out for the first time since last Tuesday. I had a cold halfway through last week so I didn't do any physical activity. Being back at the gym today really wore me out. Ugh, going to have to play catch up this week.

Yesterday I did the barbell jerks again. Still can't really get the hang of it. My wrists are in an awkward position so even lighter weight feels more difficult than it should be. Maybe I don't have enough arm/wrist flexability? I think I finally got the hang of deadlifts now and am less afraid to do them. I only lifted with 2 10s on each side but I'm getting there. I'm pretty sore today.

Holy crap has it been almost a month since I last wrote an entry here? Well, for the last week and a half this month I started training for a 5k that I'm entering in two weeks. Started off like crap. I could barely run a mile without getting winded. Now I can jog the whole mile and keep on going. My last recorded time jogging a 5k was 39:30. I'm ashamed to admit that time sucks. I got winded at 4k in and side cramped it the rest of the way. My goal by time the 5k run happens I'll at least be able to jog the whole thing without getting side cramps. I'm training with 2 of my friends and so far I have the fastest time. We all could use some improvement because we've mostly been working on upper body since I started working out. Also, I have a median nerve injury on my right wrist now. Probably from using a pickaxe on my lawn of overgrown tree roots. No wonder people pay hundreds of dollars for other people to do it. Now, I can't do a single bicep workout for the foreseeable future. I'm wearing an wrist brace at work to help me heal faster. Not gonna stop me from training for the 5k though. Just letting my leg muscles heal today and I'm going to be back at it tomorrow.

May I suggest, for shits and giggles, do something like a black light or bubble run? I went to one... And... I MISS IT! It was fun.lol Years ago I went to a "chalk run" well...it was black light, but the tossing of chalk powder into your and your competitors face was fun.lol Sucked if you needed to breath, though.lol
