KitsuneKouta-In response to your asking about how much cash for cons. In my experience I don't usually buy that much, maybe an $80 sword every now and then but not much more than that. It depends on how much you usually get and how long the con is. Now lets just say you don't have to pay for gas, room, or badge *or all I already taken care of* I usually end up going in with roughly $120 spending money I think, and that's for food *roughly $10 for lunch more or less, now for breakfast and dinner I'm not usually paying for that part myself but if you are you could probably add another 20 to that, but average the pay for the food near you con* and also just spending on con goodies. Trust me that budget won't work for everybody but usually works for me and that's for cons that are 3 days long. I'll also point out since it's only fair that I also don't like spending money so that might be why it works for me but before I bluther on any further there's at least a working model to look at.

Wow, thanks for the write up! Things like swords never occurred to me actually. I always thought they were pretty cool, though admittedly I try to be somewhat practical about what I spend money on as well as I'm trying to save up for a house and move out of the apartment. I can see myself being very tempted though :S I think I've got a good idea of how to approach it now, so it's much appreciated. Taylor, I guess we all ought to think about where everyone could meet up. I have no qualms driving to Joplin, as it's only about 2 1/2 hours from KC. St Louis is about 4 1/2 hours out. It might be easier if we know who all intends to go and what their travel limits are.

I agree! It usually depends how much you an control yourself with the anime items. I tend to spend a lot on conventions, but that's because my inner fan girl can't be tamed. Joplin sounds great, I mean it might take a bit of time to move in to the new house and un-pack, but I can let you know when everything is settled ^.^
