Entangled Shadows Entangled in these shadows I have laid everyday I tell the lie I am okay saying it so many times wish I could believe it myself I tired of these lies I really do want help but I am in such a diluted entangled lie that no one will believe I am very sick not physically but mentally unable to say what I want out loud all I can do is say "yes, I am okay" and smile I would love to see the light again escape from these shadows Though over anything else I would love to tell people how I fell and be loved in return.

Like a seeping poison From a scorpion's sting Brings doom to its victim As their last song they sing A burning curse within Pulls its owner down And this ardent flame No waters can drown The heart long for one thing A dream vast as the sky Will you sink to the ground Or will you learn to fly? Give all you can Be all you can be Never give up And one day you'll see The weight placed on you When this world seemed so wrong Was given as a test So you can become strong. You only come to failure When you no longer try Can you make peace Leaving your dreams all to die? All challenges you may face All them you must see through I fight for my dreams So why shouldn't you? As impossible As they may seem You must always fight For every one dream Because who is to say Or who can truly know Which one may complete you If you just hadn't let go? (Full disclosure, that last part was inspired by the song Flying Without Wings.)

I see people thinking about the future, How they will get married, While spreading some rumor, And I'm worried. How can someone look so far, While being happy, Acting like a rock star, Being so chatty. When I look in front of me, I see only pain, Sneaking behind me, Waiting to strike again. I'm just tired, Feeling only sadness, There's nothing I ever desired, There's only darkness. I can only wait, This is just another day, While not thinking straight, Life is worthless anyway.

As I walk through this battlefield, Death and destruction everywhere you can see, With scars that cannot be healed, Hoping that you will be free. But this war taught you a lesson, You can't be naive, Hands on your weapon, With nothing but grieve. I'm a soldier, Just a pawn to be sacrificed, My heart is getting colder, I already paid the price. My end is getting closer, I can see it, Looking over my shoulder, I can feel it. My time has run out, I close my eyes, Thinking about life, On my last sunrise.
