Oh... here's another anime I got into awhile back but I haven't finished it quite yet. It's a science fiction anime that's somewhat based on Jules Vernes 20,000 leagues under the sea. But yeah it's really really good though if you're able to find it since I don't think Hulu, Crunchyroll or Netflix has it. Regardless, I personally love it a lot! The characters are great, balanced out with great comedy, the storytelling is excellent, there's so much drama and it's good coming of age. And that animation is gorgeous too for 1990 it's early Gainax animation. It's not too long either I think about 39 episodes? There's a movie too if memory serves... which I haven't seen myself. I love recommending that anime to anyone cause I feel like most people should check it out since I don't think it's really popular or talked about a lot. It's still one of my favorite comedy slice of life animes with some drama. You probably never heard of it but... it's called You're Under Arrest. One of my favorite anime of all time is Hikaru no Go(Or it's pretty high up there for me), if you haven't seen it Hulu should still have it.(Or last I checked it was there anyways). Anyways, so yeah I'm a huge fan of this anime. It's a coming age series about a boy who learns to play Go and starts to understand the game appreciate it as it goes on. There's a lot of excellent drama, the characters are very memorable, and it's honestly one of the few shounens series(Since it ran in jump in the late 90s) that revolved around an ancient game that's been around for centuries. Oh yeah another 90's anime I started getting into which I talked about before. It's from Record of Lodoss War which is originally a popular JRPG on the Sega Dreamcast I think? This anime opening is really gorgeous though both artistically and from a vocal standpoint! It's even sung by Maayo Sakamoto which I had no idea until I started watching this anime. Oh yeah Seruru, since you've been checking out 90's anime awhile back or last I remember. I'll share an anime opening I really like of one anime series I've really gotten into awhile back. I believe I have talked about it before? But it's called The Slayers it's an awesome series or what I've seen so far anyways! It's a old fantasy comedy anime, but there's something about the animation style I really enjoy though exaggerated. It's an interesting world with fun characters and the story's really good imo.
