That's very business-minded of you. You got big dreams, high ambitions? I'm a big fan of anime, but never been very into manga. Give me books or give me anime. With manga I end up either missing the animation and sound of anime, or the information dump of books. That being said, I don't watch as much anime as I used to. Guess I've gotten pickier. I don't watch any western cartoons in my spare time, although I have a friend who's really into some of the stupid ones, so during the holiday I come to visit, and I show him some anime, and he shows me some cartoons. Recently watched "We Bare Bears" with him. Was fairly entertaining, although I prefer shows with some semblance of overarching plot. I watched the first season of Jojo and absolutely loved it. Then I watched some of "Polnareff's Bizarre Adventure", hated it, skipped most episodes until Dio, then finished it fairly disappointed. Haven't seen anything else of it. Say, would you be interested in chatting over Skype?

I'll look into Hopkin's Crank series. Could be interesting. Nearly done with my current book anyway. You know, most anime fans would try to learn Japanese as their Asian language of choice; why are you learning Chinese? And speaking of anime, what is your preference on that front? I see your list isn't very large.

Ooooh, historical fiction? I was really into Bernard Cornwell for a while. Read The Sharpe Stories, The Warlord Chronicles, The Grail Quest novels, and The Saxon Stories. Great author. Some of the stuff, like The Sharpe Stories, was really educational. I prefer series over single books, 'cause then I won't have to go looking again anytime soon. ^^ What do you mean by "stories in the form of fucked up poetry"? Like all the sentences are made of poetry? One of my favourite books had something like that. It's named "The Wise Man's Fear". In it, the main character Kvothe meets a mysterious and beautiful creature called the Felurian, who speaks in rhymes. Like this: "You have your tale. Your 'who' and 'how'. There is a final secret now, so all your owlish listening lend. This is the part you must attend. The moon has our two worlds beguiled, like parents clutching at a child, pulling at her, to and fro, neither willing to let go. When she is torn, half in your sky, you see how far apart we lie. No matter how we long to kiss, the space between us is not ripe for this. And when your moon is waxing full, all of faerie feels the pull. She draws us close to you, so bright. And now a visit for a night is easier than walking through a door or stepping off a ship that's near the shore. 'twas thus while wandering in the wild, you found Felurian, manling child." "And this is true of any Fae?" "Have they the will, and know the way. There are a thousand half-cracked doors that lead between my world and yours." "How have I never heard of this? It seems it would be hard to miss, Fae dancing on mortal grass..." "But has not just this come to pass? The world is wide and time is long, but still you say you heard my song before you saw me singing there, brushing moonlight through my hair." "Still, it seems I should have seen more signs of those who walk between." "Most fae are shy and subtle folk who step as soft as chimney smoke. Some go among your kind enshaedn, glamoured as a pack mule laden, or wearing gowns to fit a queen. We know enough to not be seen. Many of the darker sort would love to use you for their sport. What keeps these from moonlit trespass? Iron, fire, mirror-glass. Elm and ash and cooper knives, solid-hearted farmer's wives who know the rules of games we play and give us bread to keep away. But worst of all, my people dread the portion of our power we shed when we set foot on mortal earth. "We ARE more trouble than we're worth." "While she is full you may still laugh, but know there is a darker half. A clever mortal fears the night without a hint of sweet moonlight. On such a night, each step you take might catch you in the dark moon's wake, and pull you all unwitting in the fae. Where you will have no choice but stay. And on such unfamiliar ground, how can a mortal help but drown? I do this so you cannot help but hear. A wise man views a moonless night with fear." Are Ellen Hopkin's books akin to that, or different? And speaking of favourite books, do you have any authors you particularly enjoy? P.S. You don't really look like a Chinese minor. Or Chinese at all. (Ba-dum tss)

Oh, I know what you mean. Watching the TV show, there are sooo many things to keep track of, and way too long in-between episodes to do it. I recently got reminded that a guy from like 3 seasons ago went to warn someone in Westeros about something, and we literally haven't seen him since. There's an absurd amount of things going on in that series. So, when you get time, do you read purely fantasy? Do you have a favourite book/book series, or are you like me and utterly forget all the books you've read after a while? ^^
