I honestly don't know. I guess it's because I rarely get asked out by someone that is "my type" or rarely get asked out at all. When I finally got asked out that was the highlight of my life lol. The most recent experience left me feeling a bit uneasy because the contact between us is very awkward and I feel like he is a complete waste of time and that I should move on. I like him to a certain extent and find him attractive but he is lacking on his end and I don't feel like he is genuinely interested in me.

It's no use allowing someone to string you along. People often have unrealistic versions of what love should be like so they end up chasing someone who ignores them and the catch ignores the chase thus becoming another chaser who continues the endless cycle.
