My friends tell me I’m the perfect sounding board, and I do take pride in my ability to truly listen. I try to learn what makes someone happy because getting it just right is a great feeling. That’s not to say I don’t take care of myself—I’m an ambitious guy and very independent. As an aspiring writer, great storytelling moves me like nothing else. I love to unravel a story’s subtleties and deeper meanings. When a movie, book or comic goes much farther than entertainment, rewarding interpretation and re-interpretation, this affects me more than the most emotional of dramas. I have a passion for anime and manga (ranging from Naruto and Neon Genesis Evangelion, to Hayao Miyazaki films and His & Her Circumstances) but my cinematic tastes include the Farrelly brothers and American Beauty along with the geek gems and martial-arts movies.
