Nine months in Kobe. Trips to Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nara, Wakayama, Tokushima and Miyajima. Studied abroad at a University. Depends on your definition of "nice." Japanese people are usually very polite to others in public. You will find that the kindness you receive might not always be genuine, but rather a formality. Some people might apprieciate this, but others from more direct cultures such as America might have some difficulties adjusting.

I spent a month there. Alone and zero knowledge of Japanese language. Introvert heaven for me.

I was supposed to go with my family last year, but ended up not going because i didnt want my gf, at the time, to be jealous.

I went last year during golden week! It was a lot of fun but everywhere was soooo crowded

Spent 3 weeks there in April roaming around Japan, it was a good time. Lot of friendly people who did their best with my limited Japanese.

I took a trip to Tokyo alone in April XD.As a tourist,I had fun in this city~ I bought some cheap second-hand books about philosophy and about fortune-telling at Jimbocho XD. A fantastic place~ Tokyo National Museum is also awesome.

how can you guys afford to go to Japan, >.< i wish i could go lol but it would take me years to save up on money
