Tarot Readings

Fox Queen, I phrased it as "How will the Fox Queens life be with her transition?" I'm sorry, I forgot to phrase it as how will your life change, and I can do another reading if you want. Anyway, currently it feels like you're stuck, like your transition is taking too long, and you feel like you are being selfish and acing in your own self interest in a way. Perhaps there is a family member who disapproves, or you feel like you are spending too much money or maybe there is something else that is making you feel that way. You feel like you are going through another childhood, that you feel innocent and young again, like you are starting life over as a beautiful young woman. And also that you are leaving a burden behind you, something that was bothering you is going in the past. (I am guessing your old gender.) You are hoping to reach your goal of being a cheerful, beautiful young woman. (The queen of wands.) And in the future (perhaps the near future, time is vague with the tarot) you will achieve victory with this goal, and feel great triumph as you reach that point. Although, there will still be a part of you who still feels selfish in some way, although it won't feel as open anymore. (It could be that someone else thinks you're selfish, and that it's not your own view of yourself.) People from the outside will see you as a loving and happy young woman, and your own view of yourself will be that you are a very responsible person. All in all, I think that this is a good reading. (sorry, my camera's extra blurry for whatever reason.)

Well, the card for childhood and innocence is actually root of the situation, it's not that the cards are wrong, but it's that I read it wrong. (sorry) I'm supposing that it's saying that that second childhood is what's causing these current feelings you're going through now. Sometimes the root of the situation is in the present, but it can also be in the past.

Wow this thread pretty cool. I received some tarot cards awhile back and ive always wanted to learn how to read them, but I never knew where to start. If it wouldn't be too much trouble would you be able to give me some tips on how to get started?

I just started Tarot card reading recently and its a lot of fun but its kinda overwhelming at the same time. Any pointers out there for starters? Currently just working with the major arcana cards.

Ah, since I'm not sure what kind of decks either of you are using I will just write some general things, sort of assuming you have Rider Waite decks... And also I have never worked with just the Major arcana, but maybe I'll try it and see if my readings are more direct and different! :D Anyway, be sure to pull out each card individually and look at them and contemplate their symbolism, and decide whether you think they are positive, negative, neutral, and what you think their meaning might be. Some are very stark and obvious, (like the 3 of swords- heartbreak and loneliness) although others are more subtle. Think deeply and contemplate each one, as there are no truly wrong ways to interpret the cards, every reader's view of them will be somewhat different. -Meaning that every tarot reader is unique in his/her own way. Don't just memorize one meaning of each card and just stick to it, the cards are very versatile, and in different situations you may have to look outside of what you think they mean- this, I understand can be hard to do, but with enough readings you'll start to understand. Think of the eight of swords, this is a very intimidating, negative looking card- and don't get me wrong- it often is. However, if you look at the eight of swords, you might see that perhaps the girl isn't trapped, that it only looks that way. That her bonds are loose and she can take them off, and that she can just walk around the swords. Maybe it only looks bad, and that she wants be be a victim. This is only one example of the duality that the cards can often have. Get a ton of practice, you don't even have to ask others for readings, just do readings for yourself! Ask about how your day is going to be, ask about any personal issues you have, ask about if it's a good idea to go to the mall today- ect. ect. Generally if you find the reading to be wrong, it's because it was read wrong (for me anyway)- so if it's wrong, think about what cards you drew and contemplate what might have been off. If you like you can take pictures to record your readings, or just leave your reading laying on the table for you to look at later. Sometimes I will be confused by a reading, and something will happen that was completely unexpected that I could have never guessed, and I will suddenly understand perfectly what I was confused about earlier. Remember to keep your mind open to the fact that there are possibilities that you cannot foresee, and there are things that will be beyond what you can think of at the moment. Often, vague and confusing readings are because of this. Don't be discouraged and see it as a learning opportunity. And be prepared for bad readings, too. They are very frightening when they happen, but they do prepare you for whatever is coming. In my opinion the Tower is the worst, most terrifying card in the deck- especially if it is the final outcome in a situation. The Tower, for me anyway, generally means that hell is coming, and you're going to be living in a horrible nightmare. Since time is vague in the tarot, it could be just a day, or years. If there is a way to avoid a Tower situation, you really should. Uhm, this is all I can think of for now, if there's anything else just ask. Oh, and Zoesky, I will do your reading in a bit. Sorry for taking so long, I have been dealing with being sick lately... T-T

I've lost my deck years ago while moving but I use to remember this stuff. I volunteer for a reading.
