What book/anime/movie made the biggest difference to your life?

hakutaku
I think it is an efficient way to find out some interesting books/shows ⊙ω⊙.... In my case, all books or articles or news comments I have read made the biggest difference to my life, without them I can hardly be a person I'm now. Those anime and movies I have watched inspired me~

Cardcaptor Sakura. alot of people give madoka magica a lot of love because of its darker take on magical girls. but tbh Cardcaptor Sakura in my opinion is probably my favorite magical girl anime with around 75 episodes its seems like a really annoying shonen. The show is just great the art style and theme of the show is just fucking wholesome. It also handles alot of themes that other shows joke at or don't take seriously. I could write about this show all day but im sick rn.

honestly it be AKB0048 or any idol based animes, those has made a big difference they always have a uplifting feel about them and make you feel like if they can work so hard to become top idols then why cant the viewer work hard to change themselves in good meaningful ways. For me the idol based animes ive watched has one got me into cosplaying them alot and two to make me want to become healthy and lose weight and to be able to cosplay as them fully so in a way they have left a positive impact on my life.

I'm pretty sure it was a mix of both Pokemon and Cardcaptors. Was 10 years old when I watched them both, and they steered me to live out half my life in my imagination experiencing adventures in my head. This drove me into roleplaying on Gaia at the age of 17, which connected me to various nerd cultures like D&D and anime conventions, and the list just keeps going on.

sailormoon and naruto for really getting me into anime i cant remember the book, but it was something like Crow Girl that really got me into reading i remember it being sad and gritty, involving an abused girl running away from home and meeting an abused wife and daughter, living with them sometin about them being truly safe and free when they got a gun? idk was in elementary school xD but very odd moral xD was florida, so maybe some gun propaganda >w> but, got me into the life of a bookworm none the less i think this was it? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41N8Q02ARKL.jpg

InuYasha was the first, Madoka Magica the second. My childhood was troublesome and I went through a lot of traumatic experiences, and growing up with InuYasha helped me cope with it all! It's very special to me because of that. And as awful as PMMM is, it helped me find a sense of self in my early adult years when I was trying to bridge the gap between said childhood and my present self. Is this cheesy??? Yes, af. But thems the breaks. side note, wishing quoting or @ing was a thing here because theres a couple of things here I would like to respond here but oh well

Hmm, I'd say what really got me into anime was stuff that aired on toonami/adultswim like Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshi, FLCL, Inuyasha, G Gundam, etc. DBZ, Sailor Moon, and Pokemon don't really count I guess because I didn't even realize they were anime back then. :u I guess what made a huge impact on my life was the Gundam series in general, I really learned from watching stuff like Zeta Gundam or Victory Gundam that war really isn't something to be glorified. Sometimes there's a victor but both sides still lost in their own ways, was definitely eye opening for me as a kid since the consequences of war isn't really something that's taught in detail in school (American schools at least)
