Hmm.. Child trafficking in Hollywood and DC. What brings this up is there was just an article about an unmarked bus trying to pick up kids in my state, near Ann Arbor. It's been around for quite a few decades and people would rather bury their heads in the sand instead of acknowledge and deal with it.

I'm from one of safest countries(women can walk out without fear[even at night if sane and can take care of themselves], no robbery and minimum of crimes), haha, so imagining such happening is quite hard, but do know all kind of people exist, as much as good, there's bad. People tend to ignore things thinking it has nothing to do with them or depend someone else will deal with it, until themselves fall victim to something. Humans are pretty ignorant. Adults should teach kids of taking care of themselves, safety things. Teach properly about that world can be ugly too. Talk about it. I don't know how tight the security is there, but in kid's rights is that adults should be able to ensure their safety. As in my country it's school's duty make sure younger kids get home safely, as parents make sure they get safely to school. That's just an example of it. And on free time parents keep in touch with their kids and make sure kid know in what area allowed be, where not and always contact parent if something come up or ask permission to something. Then make sure kid is always around people or in area that caught on surveillance camera. Kids safety education is important.

child trafficking is some severe bs that needs to be acknowledged, human trafficking in general needs to be acknowledged. since i just moved to a new city im unsure how good the security is here and i also dont know the crime rate here that well, but at my old city that i lived at the security was shit and the crime rate was pretty high af so i wouldnt be surprised if there were multiple kidnappings which lead into trafficking. basically i agree with merena, adults should keep their eye on their children and ensure their safety to school, and school should ensure their way back home. tbh in my old city both parties did neither that well. in anycase, my standpoint on it is that this needs to be acknowledged. its a big deal and people are just throwing it to the side like its not, which is completely despicable.

Child sex trafficking is not BS. Just a couple months ago the police here caught someone that was whoring out girls under 14. This was someone I had even gone to highschool with. I also live in an area where it's 100% unexpected and out of the norm. It's very real and destroys children from ever being able to live a normal life. One of the bigger problems with the Hollywood side is bad parents living vicariously through their kids. Some of those parents don't even realize what that kind of situation would do to a kid. Then there's people like Brooke Shields mom, who actively allowed it. But you are right that it doesn't end there. Human trafficking does indeed go after adult men and women too. I just had brought up children specifically due to a recent local story about an unmarked bus trying to pick up kids. In any case, no one deserves shit like this regardless of age or anything else.
