DAYUM all the 1st page comments. Everyone's different, but if someone is physically attracted to you they will usually let a lot of your negative flaws slide.

Watch/read any anime/manga with the Romance or any "Shojo" subgenre in it (or Dramas) and has a somewhat sensible writer; Take mental notes; Apply to real life with a pinch of salt (as in don't try to be too idealistic), being yourself, and the other aspects of general dating advice; Essentially, don't imitate, but pull what you agree with from romantic literature that generally everyone, or even just girls would agree with. There's the occasional gem that has romance under one of it's sub-genres that shows really good ideals and what not on this topic such as Re;Zero. (IMO); Lastly, don't over-do it, you're not trying to be idealistic, you're supposed to be realistic. Most women are after money, good physical genetics, or both. I want a cute guy who either doesn't eliminate my SSI, or who can support us without a second income (even if we'd be poor, and relying upon food stamps, and child tax credits). (I'm not a golddigger, and I have low expectations in the money department.)
