Do you really need your bf/gf to like anime?

No but it helps to have shared interests with them. By not having someone to enthuse about it with or get why you are crying over a characters death can suck also. But this is just from personal experience.

Don't worry Lenny my friend you can talk to me about it :) Try to get him into it by making your whole family become one while he feel left out and will try to join. For me it does not matter if my future gf or wife love anime or not because I don't like to force my ideas in her. If she like it is a plus for me. Similar to how your gf and bf ask you to believe in the same God. I won't force them but will not expect them to force me either.

I would prefer to share many interests with my future GF <3 If she doesn't like anime but we both like others things instead I'm totally good with it!

Honestly as long as I have friends and other people I know who likes anime and such to discuss with then my lover doesn't need to like it as long as we have things in common. Besides you know what they say, opposites attract XD

In my opinion is almost a deal breaker ... maybe one reason why I did not last with my ex-gf Anime/sci-fi/gamer ... I guess
