Aahhh cooking! I love cooking and trying new foods. The tastiest meal I have ever made was the result of 4 weekends of searching in the mountains for wild mushrooms. Mostly we found Chanterelle, which were also tasty, but the prize was the Matsutake mushroom. Here is the meal, basically. Matsutake No Chawanmushi (a smooth, steamed egg custard made with a dashi base, some soy sauce, saki, mirin, scallions, green onion, fresh parsley, and Matsutaki.) http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c293/keipop/Next_kyoto09.jpg Saki aand soy sauce marinated Kalbi beef rib meat fried with Matsutaki, green onion, and sesime oil. (picture is not exact, but close to what it looked like.) http://30dayadventures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Pan-fried-Beef-Shoulder-Tender-with-Matustake-and-King-Oyster-Mushroom-at-Chef-Tony-Seafood-feas.jpg Matsutaki Gohan (spring pine cented rice) Jasmine rice made by bringing Matsutaki, Parsley, and a touch of sesime oil along for the ride in the rice cooker. Rice that smells like the first day of spring. http://a.ctimg.net/FF1-7CI4Swe69B4gi8WPNw/matsutake-gohan-pine-mushroom-rice-recipe.2048.jpg

Given time and research, there isn't anything I can't cook/won't try to cook. I don't have many recipes on the top of my head currently but I can cook anything I am given time to research, as well as plenty of family Scottish recipes like Scottish short bread, empire cookies, Scottish sausage..etc

Scottish? I'm interested! I know I like Irish food.

I love cooking a ton. I find it fun, relaxing and there's something I can stuff my stupid face with at the end :D Although I try to do a variety of different dishes, I don't have a particular favourite that I love making the most, I enjoy a lot of different stuff. I want to be more adventurous so I bought a big fat cookbook and just make anything that picks my fancy if I have the ingredients for it :D

I am not claiming that it is a Thai dish in any way.
