anime for beginners ?

Of course Cowboy Bebop is another of those perfect gateway animes. Can't rule that one out. -looses his hipster glasses- And while we're on the topic of cowboy bebop, as much as it pains me to list the ones everyone has seen, we still have to give credit where it's due. Here's some that have raked in the otakus by the thousands, back when anime was more edgy and less assessable. Rurouni Kenshin Inuyasha Yuyu Hakusho Evangelion (Even if it does get weird) Full Metal Alchemist Full Metal Panic Hellsing and all the other ones people have mentioned like Attack on Titan and Deathnote.

And while pokemon hooked me and my generation hard in my childhood, there's the anime that turned me into an otaku. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fcZwGrJLQc&t=150s Good luck finding it anywhere, and if you find it dubbed, let it stand as a testament to how far english dubs have actually come since the 90s.

if there not use to reading subtitles, i would suggest something english dubbed, or they might find watching anime difficult.

For people who haven't seen much anime and if you're trying to introduce them to it, Cowboy Bebop is always great

One punch man seems like it'd be good for beginners, the first season isnt very long and gets to the point quickly. Blue Exorcist is somewhat similar to Soul Eater, both are about hunting demons and some of the characters share similarities. Soul Eater Not is a spin off of the main series, so they might like it for that reason but it's not really the same kind of genre
