A New Season

Well there is something to be said about nostalgia. Very well, I'll take what I said back. :)

I haven't seen Time Bokan but I've always loved those two henchmen characters (Yatterman has a similar duo but I'm not sure if they're the same characters...) (I haven't seen any Tatsunoko for that matter #WOMP) "Yuri!!! On Ice" is DEFINITELY MY TOP PICK!!! Mitsurou Kubo as original creator <--that's all I need to know! Can't wait!! (it doesn't say if she wrote the script but still... can't wait!)

Kobayashi, who has an undying body because of an "unidentified fog," wishes his own death and refuses contact with others. Hanasaki takes an interest in Kobayashi and invites him to join the Boys' Detective Team. The encounter eventually leads them to the connection between the criminal nicknamed the "Fiend with Twenty Faces" and Kogorou Akechi. The fate of the two begins to move... --- End Synopsis Well, this anime had a crazy start. It looks interesting to say the least. The animation quality is good. The characters seem fairly unique... and fairly crazy... The first episode had quite a bit of action. I think this might be one to watch.

Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume http://adala-news.fr/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Shakunetsu_no_Takkyuu_Musume_Visual_Art.jpg Synopsis This anime follows middle school students Koyori Tsumujikaze and Agari Kamiya as they enter the world of girls' middle school ping pong. --- End Synopsis This is a sport type anime about girls table tennis. The characters are all very cute with lots of odd personalities. And they're all very into playing ping pong. Lots and lots of moe I suppose.

Trickster has the right ingredients of a delicious anime series. Based on the Edogawa Ranpo's "The Boy Detectives Club" & OP music by Gackt, I have my eyes on this one.

Nanbaka (The Numbers) http://img1.ak.crunchyroll.com/i/spire1/ef13249e11b12f329d51c030300b1d521459168950_full.jpg Synopsis A super exciting action comedy starring the inmates and guards of the world's most formidable prison. --- End Synopsis From the first episode, it's kinda pretty much what the synopsis says. 4 ridiculous inmates try to escape a totally ridiculous jail with a just as ridiculous guards. The animations good, but the stupidity level is pretty high.

Natsume Yuujinchou Go (Natsume's Book of Friends 5) http://animup.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/28133372[56ef2412ceab5]-600x789.jpeg Synopsis Natsume Takashi has the ability to see spirits, which he has long kept secret. However, once he inherits a strange book that belonged to his deceased grandmother, Reiko, he discovers the reason why spirits surround him. Containing the names of these spirits, a binding contract was formed between the spirits and the owner of the book. Now, Natsume is determined to free the spirits and dissolve the contracts. With the help of a spirit cat, his days are filled trying to return the names to these spirits. Natsume Yuujinchou Go is a continuation of this series. --- End Synopsis This is actually a really good show. It's a little slower, and more light hearted. But it's enjoyable to watch. I'd recommend this one.

I'm trying to kick back on watching anime this season, because there are a lot sport anime this season. So I'm mostly watching those anime.

Soushin Shoujo Matoi (Matoi the Sacred Slayer) http://s1.zerochan.net/Soushin.Shoujo.Matoi.600.2042291.jpg Synopsis There are two girls who are in training to become Miko at the Tema Shrine: Matoi Sumeragi and Yuma Kusanagi. Matoi Sumeragi lived with her grandparents on her father's side because her mother left her since she was young, until the second year of junior high school when she finally was able to live with her father since three months ago. Matoi yearns to live a simple life. Yuma Kusanagi is the daughter of a family who lives at the shrine and is expected to become the next Miko. She knows that her ancestor used Taimakou, a technique to exorcise evil spirits and invites Matoi to challenge the ritual called Kamikagari using the skill of Taimakou. One day after school on the way to the shrine, the two girls go to meet Yuma's parents, but discover that they have fallen in pain. Shingo, who is Matoi's father, and a police officer involved in investigating the case, discover a man giving off an unusual aura. To stop this man, Yuma calls out Kamikagari, but something happens to Matoi. The girl who yearns for a simple life has a power to exorcise evil spirits? In order to get her simple life back, she goes on a task to exorcise evil spirits. --- End Synopsis Well, from the first episode, this seems to be about a couple of magical girls fighting monsters from another dimension. The animation quality is pretty good. The plots so so. It was at least good enough to get me to watch the next episode out of curiosity.
