It depends on the dub. Some are awful like, Tokyo Ghoul, and some are great.

I've tried listening to dubs, but it never was my thing :/

From the time I have started this post I have just realised that ..... This subject is quite popular the sub vs dub even tho I think dub is better (only my opinion) but i also see that sub is still winning for most people's opinions ..... As I am not from the US I like the different voice actors and actresses so it must be like what the Japanese think when they notice some good voice actors on certain shows ect .... I could be wrong here guys but again just trying to stick up for the Dubb fans .. Yelt ! Also add if you have any dubbed anime suggestions!!

Getting into anime I started with dubs. Once I started watching fansubs, I could no longer go back to dubs. There are good dubs out there but I am just at a point now where seeing those anime characters speak English just doesn't seem right to me anymore. As for video games I can do either or, but still prefer subs especially if the characters have a typical anime aesthetic.

I don't see why anyone should be catching flack for likeing dubbed over subbed anime. We're all part of the same community, one part just happens to like listening over reading. I for one am trying to learn japanese, so I tend to prefer subbed to dubbed to study the language structure and cadences of japanese, but that doesn't mean I get mad at people who like dubbed anime, it just means we happen to have differing opinions on the subject.

I don't really have a preference. I like both Subs and Dubs. There are some dubs that I love like Toradora!
